In 2009 Investments into Construction in Ugra Will Exceed 110 Billion Roubles

900 thousand square metres of housing will be built in Ugra in 2009. Investments into the construction sphere will amount to 110-120 billion roubles, regional Government informed RusBusinessNews.

177 billion roubles were spent on housing construction in Ugra in 2008. "Claims that the construction industry is in distress and the volumes have plummeted down are groundless", said Aleksei Safiollin, the Deputy Governor of Ugra, "Out of 2 million square meters of housing to be completed by 2012, only the construction of 600 thousand has been postponed."

According to Mr. Safiollin, the developers will also receive about 900 million roubles from the federal budget. The people of Ugra will invest 7 billion roubles into construction. The 2009 KhMAO budget allocates 2 billion roubles to subsidize the bank mortgage interest rate to help the residents of the Autonomous Okrug improve their housing conditions.
