Italian Business to Enter Russia through Ekaterinburg13.04.2009 — News THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST. The Urals-Liguria technology centre will be established in Ekaterinburg. A memorandum on the matter was signed on 9 April 2009 by the President of the Agency for Internationalization of Companies of the Liguria Regional Government, Franko Aprille and Arkady Chernetsky, the Mayor of Ekaterinburg. The technology centre will become the foundation for the exchange of human resources as well as distribution and sales of the jointly produced goods. The Liguria International group representing the interests of industrial enterprises of Liguria - one of the Italy's largest industrial regions, will be among the cofounders and investors. We would like to "drop an anchor" in Ekaterinburg to gain solid footing in the Urals and use it to access the Russian nationwide market," said Franco Aprille. Currently Liguria businessmen are looking for partners in the Urals to produce fasteners and fittings and bathroom and lavatory fixtures; also there are other projects considered such as the establishment of adapted smart city traffic control systems and an elevator assembly plant. |
