UGMK opened a copper ore refining factory in Bashkortostan14.06.2011 — News BASHKORTOSTAN. The Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK) has commissioned the first phase of the refining factory, Bashkirskaya Med (Copper), in Bashkortostan. The output of the new facility totals 1.5 million tons of ore a year. The representatives of the UGMK Press Service informed "RusBusinessNews" that the factory will receive and process copper and copper-zinc ores. Within the next five years, UGMK is planning to invest more than 30 billion rubles in development of Bashkir copper and zinc deposits. By 2015, the company intends to receive 10.5 million tons of ore from its mining operations in Bashkortostan. |
