UralVagonZavod spent 1.3 million euro on a shearing press

The Research and Production Corporation UralVagonZavod has purchased a shearing press for 1.3 million euro for scrap breaking production. Another 6 million rubles were spent on installation of the purchased equipment.

The representatives of the Press Service of the corporation have informed "RusBusinessNews" that the hydraulic shearing press, LIS 816-8, is the latest design development of Lindemann, a German company. It cuts metal with the capacity of 800 tons and produces high-quality scrap for smelting. Operating at its full load, the press processes up to 19 tons of scrap per hour.

The Research and Production Corporation UralVagonZavod, OJSC, was founded in March, 2008, using the facilities of UralVagonZavod, Federal State Unitary Enterprise. The corporation consists of more than 20 businesses and research institutions. It manufactures railroad, military, road-building and agricultural machinery and equipment.
