Spaniards to Learn of Polar Tourism Future in Yamal

A delegation from the Spanish province Alicante is due to arrive to Salekhard on 19 April 2009. The investment potential of Yamal will be assessed by Antonio Navarro, the President of the Builders Association of the South of Spain, Rafael Vives, the Mayor of Daya Vieja, and Jesus Sola, the President of the Casa Azul group of companies.

RusBusineNews was informed by the regional Government that this visit will become the first step in the development of trade and economic connections between Spain and the YaNAO. The development of the direct cooperation gained further momentum after the President Medvedev's visit to Spain in March 2009.

Spanish businessmen are interested in the possibility of the joint development of the Polar tourism. Moreover, they are offering the Yamal people inexpensive Mediterranean holidays including the organisation of children's health improvement trips.
