Passenger traffic on Ural Airlines has increased by 28%17.06.2011 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION. Between January and May of 2011, Ural Airlines carried 716,901 passengers, an increase of 28% over the same period last year. More than half the airline's flights were within the CIS countries. This rise in passenger traffic was associated with the launch of some new international routes and the introduction of three new planes. Ural Airline's press office informed "RusBusinessNews" that the airline carried over 3,872 tons of freight between January and May of 2011, up 8% over the same period last year. A total of 666 tons of mail was delivered, an increase of 71%. Ural Airlines is one of the top ten major Russian airlines in terms of volume of traffic; in 2010, 1,792,220 passengers took advantage of the company's services. The airline's main fleet consists of 17 aircrafts A320 and A321. |
