Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company completed the construction of the processing factory in the Kemerovo Region

The Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK) has commissioned a processing factory - Krasnobrodskaya-Koksovaya. The new facilities will process annually 3 million tons of coal with the resulting output of 2.4 million high-quality concentrate, Type KS. The concentrate will be supplied to the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, OJSC, Novolipetsk Metallurgical Works, OJSC, and the Severstal Group for their coke and chemical operations.

The representatives of the UGMK Press Service have informed RusBusinessNews that the construction investment totaled 3.3 billion rubles. The payback period for the project is scheduled for 2.5 years.

The factory will use coals of the Novosergeyevskoye field of the Krasnobrodsky open-cast. Due to the new facilities, the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company will be able to increase the coal processing output from today's 55% to 90% by 2017.
