VSMPO-AVISMA will take part in the KORMARINE-2011 exhibition

PSC VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation is getting ready for the KORMARINE-2011 exhibition, to open on Oct. 26. Representatives from over 850 companies from Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, China, Singapore and other countries are gathering in the South Korean city of Busan. They will present their designs for the shipbuilding and naval industries, as well as new technology for shipping and ports.

The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that VSMPO-AVISMA has worked with materials-research institutes and design agencies to develop a wide range of alloys for use in the shipping industry. These include new types of technology to produce semi-finished titanium products with the properties shipbuilders need.

Currently, VSMPO-AVISMA's products are used to manufacture pipes, valves and dampers, steering mechanisms, and parts of nuclear power plants, hydroacoustic systems, and other important components.
