Tyumen Businesses are Ready for Joint Projects with German Companies

On 16 April 2009 the Russian-German business forum opened in Tyumen. A German construction materials producer ENKE-WERK Johannes Enke GmbH and Co. KG, a machine building companies Knorr-Bremse System Fur Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH and EMF Lebensmitteltechnik-Anlagenbau GbmH, and the energy producer RWE AG will present their capabilities at the forum. German business delegation was brought to Siberia by the Consul General of Germany in Ekaterinburg Dr. Renate Schimkoreit.

The Governor of the Tyumen Oblast Vladimir Yakushev made a statement that the creation of joint ventures in machine building, timber processing, processing, light, and food-processing industries is a promising sphere for cooperation. The Tyumen industrial enterprises are interested in exporting their products to Germany.

RusBusinessNews was told by the Oblast Government that Germany is amongst the most important foreign trade partners of the Tyumen Oblast. The 2008 foreign trade turnover amounted to 53.6 million US dollars. 11 enterprises with the participation of German capital are registered in the region: Tyumen - Fechta Ltd. makes equipment for the food sector; OOO Bentec Drilling and Oilfield Systems produces drilling rigs for oil and gas industry; and OOO Perfoline specialises in perforating equipment for exploration.
