The VSMPO-AVISMA developments sparked interest at KORMARINE-2011

On the first day of KORMARINE-2011 that was opened in Busan, South Korea, on October 26, the booth of the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation attracted attention of prospective customers from five countries.

KORMARINE showcases pilot projects in ship building, defense industry, oil and gas production and processing. The exhibition accommodated booths of more than 900 companies representing 40 world countries.

In cooperation with materials research institutes and design bureaus, VSMPO-AVISMA has developed a wide array of alloys for marine application. Its arsenal features a number of technologies that make it possible to manufacture tailored titanium semi-finished products for ship-building needs.

The VSMPO-AVISMA Press-Service has informed RusBusinessNews that representatives of companies from South Korea, Singapore, China, Sweden and Germany showed interest in the VSMPO-AVISMA products. At their display, the corporation employees informed about possibilities offered by the products for the ship-building and oil-and-gas industries. The products are used in manufacturing pipelines, valves and cut-off plates, steering devices, elements of nuclear power units, hydro-acoustic complexes and other critical components.
