Turkish Companies Look for Construction Projects in Sverdlovsk Oblast17.04.2009 — News THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST. Turkish companies are ready to participate in construction projects in the Sverdlovsk Oblast more actively. This was declared following the results of the meeting between the Governor Eduard Rossel and the delegation from the Republic of Turkey headed by Faruk Nafız Ozak, the Minister of Public Works and Settlement, on 16 April 2009. RusBusinessNews was informed by the regional Government that Yenigun Insaat SanayiI Ve Ticaret A.S., a Turkish company, and TEN, a Ekaterinburg company, are currently working on a number of joint projects including the construction of the Olympus shopping centre in Ekaterinburg, and planning to build a 4-stars hotel. Simultaneously Yenigun Insaat is finishing the construction of the MEGA shopping centre in Omsk and the Riverside shopping centre in Chelyabinsk. The 2008 results show that the trade turnover between Sverdlovsk Region and Turkish Republic amounted to almost 470 million US dollars. Exports from the Urals are predominantly metals and chemicals. The Turkish manufacturers supply to the Sverdlovsk Oblast machine building industry products, clothing, footwear, and beauty products. |
