British Diplomats Visited Perm with Working Visit17.04.2009 — News THE PERM KRAI. The Perm Krai is establishing economic and cultural relations with Great Britain. On 16 April 2009 the Chairman of the regional Government Valery Sukhikh discussed the prospects for cooperation with Laurie Bristow, the Deputy Head of the Embassy of Great Britain in Russia, and Jenny Lock, the Consul General in Ekaterinburg. RusBusynessNews was informed by the Government that the diplomats have highly valued the potential of OOO John Crane-Iskra - a joint venture gas seals production company which was founded by the British John Crane UK together with Russian companies. Laurie Bristow and Jenny Lock also visited the Perm Art Gallery and the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. Great Britain has about 3% share of the Perm Oblast's foreign trade turnover which amounted to 7.7 billion dollars in 2008. |
