Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant is awarded a 100-million-ruble contract

CHELYABINSK REGION.

The RF Ministry of Industry and Trade and CHTZ-Uraltrac, OJSC, a member of the Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation, OJSC, are going to enter into a 100-million-ruble state contract for designing of new heavy-duty engines for military vehicles. The design will be based on the T-type series-production tractor engine.

The representatives of the press office of the enterprise have informed RusBusinessNews that in the competition for the contract the Chelyabinsk plant sidestepped such rivals as Avtodizel, OJSC (Yaroslavl Motor Plant) and Tutaev Motor Plant, OJSC. By November 2014, CHTZ-Uraltrac, OJSC will have completed research and development to adapt the engine to special-purpose vehicles.
