RUSNANO and VSMPO-AVISMA have signed a partnership agreement

RUSNANO, OJSC and VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC have signed an agreement to jointly introduce new developments in nanotechnology into metallurgical production.

The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that the two companies will begin work on three investment projects by the end of 2012. Pilot tests are being conducted at VSMPO-AVISMA's production facilities.

RUSNANO's investment portfolio currently includes a number of metallurgical projects. A venture capital fund for the industry, Nanomet, has been established in order to support companies that are learning to utilize nano-metallurgical technology.

According to Andrei Lukshin, the director of RUSNANO's project office, the use of RUSNANO's potential for innovation and VSMPO-AVISMA's industrial and technological capabilities will improve the competitiveness of Russian industry.
