VSMPO-AVISMA can increase its volume of supply for the Dreamliner

The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC, is ready to step up the production and increase the output of die-forgings for Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This conclusion was made by the representatives of Boeing and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, a French company manufacturing landing gear systems, when they visited the Verkhnyaya Salda enterprise.

The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation press service has informed RusBusinessNews that the first shipment of forgings was dispatched to France in autumn 2011. The bigger version of the Boeing 787-9 - Dreamliner - will roll off the assembly line at the end of 2013. The airliner will be able to carry 290 passengers and 20 tons of additional cargo.

The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation takes part in other aircraft engineering projects, for example, in building of the A320 NEO new model upon the proposal of Airbus. In 2012, the corporation also intends to supply titanium forgings for wings of MS-21 medium-haul aircraft, which are manufactured by the United Aircraft Corporation.
