More than RUR 3 billion has been invested in upgrading of Uralvagonzavod27.02.2012 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION. 3.1 billion rubles were allocated for upgrading of the Nizhny Tagil based principal enterprise of the Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation in 2011. 60 investment programs were launched all at once. The tank manufacturing facilities were revamped with participation of federal budgetary funds; the upgrading of the Uralvagonzavod railcar assembly facilities was supported by the Czech Export Bank and the ALTA firm. Part of the funds was spent on development of future-targeted types of rolling stock and other civilian industry products. The representatives of the Press Service of the corporation have informed RusBusinessNews that the corporation is planning to launch investment projects aimed at development of a civil aviation airport at the site of the Salka airfield for experimental aviation (in the vicinity of Nizhny Tagil) and construction of a machine-building plant that will meet the present-day requirements. |
