VSMPO-AVISMA will increase is supplies to Boeing21.03.2012 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION. In 2012, the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC, intends to triple its volume of supply for manufacturing of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft - to 73 tons of die-forgings to be supplied monthly. The decision on the increase was adopted after representatives of Boeing and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, a French company manufacturing landing gear systems, had visited the Verkhnyaya Salda enterprise. The experts rated highly the quality of the Russian products and the compliance with the agreed delivery schedule under the existing contract. The VSMPO-AVISMA Press-Service has informed RusBusinessNews that the corporation is planning to increase the product output by launching four multiple-spindle milling machines manufactured by the USA-based company - Cincinnati. The machines can tool up to 30 forgings at a time. By 2029 Boeing is planning to supply 30,900 brand-new airliners to its customers for the total amount of 3.6 trillion US dollars. 960 airliners will be supplied to Russia and CIS countries. |
