VSMPO-AVISMA passed successfully German environmental audit

Experts from TUV NORD CERT GmbH, a German firm, conducted an audit of the environmental management system at the AVISMA enterprise (operating within the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC).

The VSMPO-AVISMA Press-Service has informed RusBusinessNews that the auditors found no critical deviations from the ISO 14001:2004 standard and offered to renew the environmental certificate issued in 2007. They also recommended that the corporation should adopt some elements of risk management in accordance with the ISO 31000 standard.

All the facilities operated by AVISMA located in the Perm Region comply with the emission standards. In 2011, the enterprise allocated 300 million rubles for environmental programs. The enterprise completed the construction of the landfill start-up complex and improved performance of centrifuges operating at the waste treatment facilities.
