RCC will spend $41 million to equip its new facility at Karabashmed, CJSC10.04.2012 — News CHELYABINSK REGION. Karabashmed, CJSC (a subsidiary of Russian Copper Company) has signed a contract with the Chinese CIMM Group Co. Ltd. to design a new sulfuric-acid plant and install the equipment. RCC's press office told RusBusinessNews that the contract is valued at $41.04 million. Construction of the facility will begin in July and the equipment will be installed in November, 2012. Most of the technical equipment will be purchased in Italy, Germany, Canada, the US, and Sweden. Once the new plant is in operation this will ensure full disposal of the sulfur dioxide and a 150% increase in the production of blister copper at Karabashmed, CJSC. |
