Uralvagonzavod and China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation are preparing a joint project

A framework cooperation agreement was signed between Research and production corporation Uralvagonzavod, OJSC and China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation, OJSC during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to China.

UVZ's press office told RusBusinessNews that the parties to the contract feel that the future of their cooperation lies in joint projects. In particular, there is a chance the Chinese partners could provide individual components for RPC Uralvagonzavod's railway engineering division. Information exists about the possibility of establishing a joint venture in the Middle Kingdom to produce steel castings for the manufacture of rail cars.

RPC Uralvagonzavod has been buying cast items from a factory in the town of Ruzhou (PRC) since Aug., 2011. All the Chinese products bear Russian certificates of conformity.
