VSMPO-AVISMA will provide Boeing with $18 billion worth of products25.06.2012 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION. Shephard Hill, the president of Boeing International, has announced that over the next 30 years Boeing will spend $18 billion on products manufactured by VSMPO-AVISMA. The American corporation estimates that the Russian aircraft market will be worth over $110 billion during the next 20 years. VSMPO's press office told RusBusinessNews that in April of this year VSMPO-AVISMA and Boeing extended their bilateral agreement until the end of 2018. Under this agreement, the Verkhnyaya Salda company will continue furnishing the American firm and its suppliers with titanium products to be used in the production of the Boeing 787, 777, and 737. Shipments of forgings were specified in a separate contract negotiated by the parties, which will be valid until 2016. Ural Boeing Manufacturing, a joint venture in Verkhnyaya Salda between the Russian and American companies, machines titanium parts for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. |
