Ural Boeing Manufacturing started manufacturing a new component for Dreamliner

The joint venture set up by Boeing and the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC, supplied the first lower chord for Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the 5th anniversary of Ural Boeing Manufacturing.

The Corporation’s Press-Service has informed RusBusinessNews that VSMPO-AVISMA and Boeing opened UBM in 2007 году. The enterprise located in Verkhnyaya Salda specializes in machining titanium forgings for the high-tech Boeing 787 Dreamliner. UBM intends to increase the output to meet the growing demand from aircraft builders.

In the next 30 years, Boeing is planning to invest about 18 billion US dollars in the program for products made of Russian titanium.
