Belarusians came to check out the copper technology of RCC's subsidiary in Sredneuralsk

A delegation from the Republic of Belarus paid a visit to Uralgidromed, OJSC (an affiliate of Russian Copper Company), the only company in Russia that uses in-situ leaching for the industrial production of copper cathode. The guests evaluated this unique method and also went to see the Gumeshevsky deposit, which was first discovered more than 300 years ago.

RCC’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the guests were particularly interested in the incentive system for employees that is used at Uralgidromed.

This complex that mines copper using in-situ leaching has been operating in Polevskoy (the Sverdlovsk region) since 2005, and its production facilities were designed to produce approximately 5,000 tons of copper cathode per year.
