The Sverdlovsk region is providing more subsidies for technology parks21.11.2012 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION The number of technology parks that are included in the Sverdlovsk region's special register and that receive regional public funding will almost double by the end of 2012. The regional government told RusBusinessNews that this register currently includes four of these "technopolises" that house a total of 24 residents. In 2011, their output was worth 6.6 billion rubles. By the end of the year, this list will also include the Intelnedra "techno-city" established at Ural State Mining University, the Torgmash technopolis, and a technology park at the Medsintez factory in Novouralsk. The Sverdlovsk region plans to provide over 55 million rubles in subsidies between 2013 and 2015 to the residents of technology parks that produce innovative products. The Universitetsky technology park for high-tech production, which currently lacks any infrastructure of its own, will receive 2.1 billion rubles for construction expenses. More than 100 future residents of this industrial park will create 1,500 jobs. The 150 innovative projects those residents are finalizing will provide revenues of over four billion rubles. |
