New facilities for manufacturing construction materials are opening in the Central Urals28.11.2012 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION The production of cement, bricks, masonry blocks, ceramic tiles for flooring and walls, and nonmetallic building materials increased by 16% in 2012 in the Sverdlovsk region. Between 2011 and 2012, 13.5 billion rubles was invested in the region's construction industry. Atomstroykompleks, CJSC and Maksit Ural, LLC have opened new plants capable of producing 150,000 tons of dry mortar mixes. Omia Ural, LLC has begun producing 210,000 tons of ground marble per year. The regional government told RusBusinessNews that Atomstroykompleks, CJSC plans to begin manufacturing 350,000 cubic meters per year of fiberglass thermal insulation in Ekaterinburg. Plus a factory is being constructed in Nevyansk that is designed to produce 90 million bricks a year, and equipment is being upgraded at Sukholozhskcement, OJSC and Piastrella, CJSC, which supply ceramic tiles.
