The Sverdlovsk region's small businesses enter the international market21.12.2012 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION Between 2010 and 2011 about 1.8 billion rubles was invested from the federal and regional budgets to develop small- and medium-sized businesses in the Sverdlovsk region. In 2012, significant sums were spent to support agriculture and industrial production. The regional government told RusBusinessNews that almost 190,000 small and medium companies currently operate in the region. Several of them manufacture products that are very popular abroad. Businesses in Great Britain, Canada, and France are interested in the children's playground equipment that is made in Pervouralsk. Foreigners enjoy the value they receive for the price they pay, which is only one-third of the cost of a similar product outside of Russia. Ninety percent of Pervouralsk companies’ constructions are supplied outside the Sverdlovsk region, many of them to the CIS. There are plans to pursue another small project in Pervouralsk with the help of the Russian-French company, ULTRA URAL, LLC. In 2014, bimetal saws will be produced for the first time in Russia. Every month 50,000 euros' worth of products will be shipped to metalworking companies. |
