VSMPO-AVISMA to build three factories in the Sverdlovsk region21.12.2012 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC plans to open three new companies in the Sverdlovsk region. The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that the first titanium-machining facility will be located in the Titanium Valley special economic zone. Approximately $100-120 million will be invested in this project. The creation of another two companies is under discussion with VSMPO's partners. One of those partners is Boeing, which opened the Ural Boeing Manufacturing plant in 2009 in conjunction with VSMPO-AVISMA. There are plans to invest $10 million in the development of a joint venture in Verkhnyaya Salda that will specialize in the primary machining of titanium forgings for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner as well as Russian aircrafts. It is possible that this will result in a new plant, which will be located in the Titanium Valley. |
