CHTZ-URALTRAC is buying Austrian and German equipment18.01.2013 — News CHELYABINSK REGION CHTZ-URALTRAC, LLC, a subsidiary of the Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation, has purchased eight multipurpose machining centers from the Austrian company WFL, as well as a grinding unit from the German firm EMAG. The equipment will be installed in February, 2013. The corporation’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the business in Chelyabinsk currently operates about 30 modern machines and that number will increase to 60 in 2014. By 2015, 17.5 billion rubles will have been invested in the development of CHTZ-URALTRAC. The corporation's managers envision that a division of construction and road-building equipment will be developed at the company. The modernization of CHTZ-Uraltrac will affect the entire processing chain - the casting and forging production, as well as the thermal, testing, and mechanical complex. The corporation plans to develop mass production of diesel engines for specialized and civilian purposes that meet the highest international standards.
