VSMPO-AVISMA to supply titanium parts to Indian shipbuilders

In the third quarter of 2013, the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC will deliver the titanium parts and materials ordered by India's L&T shipbuilding company.

The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that negotiations with the Indian firm regarding the fulfillment of a contract were conducted at the international SMM India 2013 exhibit in Mumbai.

VSMPO-AVISMA is interested in expanding its partnerships with India, a country that is working to regain its status as a major global maritime power.  In particular, the state firm L&T plans to build a series of nuclear submarines using parts made of titanium alloys.
