VSMPO-AVISMA and Airbus are thinking about expanding their cooperation13.05.2013 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION VSMPO-AVISMA and Airbus have discussed the possibility of the European group becoming involved in the Russian corporation's programs to manufacture high-value-added products. The corporation’s press office told RusBusinessNews that a delegation from Airbus visited VSMPO-AVISA in late April 2013. That group included Airbus's senior vice president of procurement, Olivier Cauquil; vice president of titanium procurement, Oliver Dreier; plus the directors and managers of the departments for procurement and supply-chain quality. VSMPO-AVISMA's general director, Mikhail Voevodin, discussed the possibility of expanding their partnership with the representatives of the European group. VSMPO-AVISMA and Airbus have been working together for twenty years. Currently more than 60% of the titanium products purchased by Airbus are produced by VSMPO-AVISMA. |
