Kurganstalmost in Search of Markets in Middle Asia

The Russian leader in bridge steelwork production, Kurganstalmost ZAO, expects orders from Middle Asia. Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan follow Russia's lead in the implementation of strategic road-construction programmes.

At the moment Kurganstalmost is producing steelwork for a new bridge in Astana. As the company's representatives told RusBusinessNews, a delegation from the Kazakhstan capital Mayor's office is expected in Kurgan for negotiations shortly.

The Republic of Kazakhstan's transportation development strategy for the period through 2015 has a budget of 26 billion U.S. Dollars. In Astana alone, 4 large bridges and 11 highway junctions are planned for construction in the next two years.
