Ural Boeing Manufacturing has received new equipment worth $12 million12.09.2013 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION. This joint venture in the Urals between VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC and the American company Boeing intends to increase production. In 2013, Ural Boeing Manufacturing received four HMS 1600 single-spindle machines worth a total of $12 million. Two machines were purchased by Boeing and two by VSMPO-AVISMA. The corporation’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the new equipment will machine the beams that are the primary chassis components for the Boeing 737 program. This will allow production to expand at UBM. This joint venture between the two companies - Ural Boeing Manufacturing - has been operating in Verkhnyaya Salda (the Sverdlovsk Region) since 2009. Its factory specializes in the primary machining of titanium forgings for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. |
