VSMPO-AVISMA to begin supplying parts for the Boeing 787-9 in 201410.10.2013 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION In the first half of 2014, the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC and the joint venture Ural Boeing Manufacturing plan to set up the flow-line production of parts for the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The aircraft had its first test flight in late September 2013. The new plane differs from the first model of the 787 Dreamliner in that it has a longer fuselage, the seating capacity has been increased to 40, and longer flights are possible. VSMPO-AVISMA's press office told RusBusinessNews that the corporation currently produces more than 40% of the titanium products purchased by Boeing. |
