RCC is replacing a holding furnace at Karabashmed01.11.2013 — News CHELYABINSK REGION APM140 holding furnace at Karabashmed, CJSC (a subsidiary of Russian Copper Company) is going to be replaced with a settling furnace from the Finnish company Kumera. This will improve the method of separating the melted semi-finished product into copper matte and slag and will also reduce the content of copper in slag by one third. RCC’s press office told RusBusinessNews that it would take 35 days to replace the furnace. This work will be carried out as part of a program of technical updates at Karabashmed's production facilities, a program into which the RCC Group invested 1.3 billion rubles in the first nine months of 2013. |
