VSMPO-AVISMA and Boeing to build a second plant in the Sverdlovsk region22.11.2013 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC and the Boeing group have signed a memorandum that includes the construction of an enterprise in the Urals to machine parts for new airliner models. It is scheduled to begin operating in 2016. The plant should be located within the Titanium Valley special economic zone in Verkhnyaya Salda. VSMPO-AVISMA's press office told RusBusinessNews that once the new facilities would be put into operation the output of the Ural Boeing Manufacturing (UBM) joint venture would double. UBM is a joint venture of VSMPO-AVISMA and Boeing which has been operating in Verkhnyaya Salda since 2009. The factory specializes in the primary machining of titanium forgings for Boeing 787 Dreamliner. |
