Russian Copper Company has opened the Mikheevsky GOK19.12.2013 — News CHELYABINSK REGION As of December 17, 2013 the Mikheevsky mining and processing facility (a project of Russian Copper Company) is now up and running. RCC told RusBusinessNews that as part of a ceremony, the governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Mikhail Yurevich, and the chairman of RCC Group's board of directors, Igor Altushkin, solemnly pressed the power button of a grinding mill supplied by the company Metso Minerals. The mining and processing facility at the Mikheevskoye porphyry-copper ore deposit is the largest such complex to be built from scratch anywhere in the former Soviet Union. Total investment comes to 27 million rubles. The plant at the GOK will be able to process 18 million tons of copper ore or up to 63,000 tons of copper concentrate per year. |
