The UVZ Corporation has risen in the global rankings of arms manufacturers

In 2012, the Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation, OJSC was listed as the 53rd largest producer of weapons and military equipment. A year earlier the company held the 67th spot in that ranking.

The corporation’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) created this "Top 100" list of military manufacturers, and it was presented at a security conference in Munich on January 31, 2014.

Income from Uralvagonzavod's sales, work, and services rose by 44% in 2012 compared to 2011. Profits from sales went up by 21% and net profits – by 26%.
