Boeing has confirmed its interest in a joint project with VSMPO-AVISMA30.05.2014 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC and the Boeing group have discussed plans to build a second Ural Boeing Manufacturing plant. The American aerospace corporation was represented in the negotiations by Sergei Kravchenko, the president of Boeing Russia/CIS, and by John Byrne and Marty Bentrott, vice presidents at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. VSMPO-AVISMA's press office told RusBusinessNews that UBM's second plant should be located in the Titanium Valley special economy zone in Verkhnyaya Salda. UBM's first business has been operating in Verkhnyaya Salda since 2009. That factory specializes in the primary machining of titanium forgings for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
