VSMPO will provide new Boeing aircraft with titanium parts

The Verkhnyaya Salda subdivision of the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC, welcomed John Byrne, Vice President of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and Sergey Kravchenko, President of Boeing in Russian and CIS countries.

RusBusinessNews was informed in the Press Service of the Corporation that the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation. According to John Byrne, the plans for the near future are focused on joint efforts in implementation of the new Boeing-777X project; the new aircraft will contain more Ural titanium.

The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC, and aircraft builder Boeing has been working together since 1997. The Ural Company provides Boeing and its suppliers with rolled products for manufacturing commercial aircraft. The recent contract will be effective till 2022.
