Snecma placed an order with VSMPO-Avisma for coils used in engines of Boeing and Airbus

The year of 2015 brought new contracts to the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation. Among them there are agreements signed with French Snecma and Belgian Techspace Aero.

As RusBusinessNews has been informed by Oleg Leder, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales, Snecma (a member of the SAFRAN Group) will supply coils for CFM 56, the world’s most popular engine, which is used on Boeing and Airbus airliners.

Under the agreement signed with Techspace Aero, VSMPO-Avisma will manufacture parts for a new LEAP engine, which is still in its design and trial stage. The new engine will be used instead of today’s CFM 56.
