VSMPO-AVISMA has been visited by foreign guests

Since the beginning of 2016 VSMPO has been visited by more than 200 representatives of companies from 16 countries. As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the Press Service of the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, the European Airbus Group was represented by its delegates who arrived in February to discuss the ongoing orders, to negotiate the turnaround time required for manufacturing of die-forgings and flat-rolled products, and to monitor the manufacturing schedule for certified die-forgings for the wing of the A350-900 aircraft.

The next visitors were associates from the foreign subsidiaries of the Corporation - VSMPO Tirus Ltd (Great Britain), Tirus International SA (Switzerland), and VSMPO Tirus GmbH (Germany).

The French guests from Snecma and Turbomeca checked rotor-grade products. Rolls Royce (Great Britain) conducted zero-defect audit; the Performance Review Institute (USA) checked whether materials tests complied with the Nadcap requirements.

Japanese bankers visited VSMPO together with a representative of the Industrial Equipment Department of the Interactive Corporation. The delegation was shown around 4 production facilities, the Ural Boeing Manufacturing Joint Venture and the Titanium Valley. Shortly after, the Verkhnyaya Salda enterprise was visited by a milling expert from MMC Hardmetal, who came to discuss and outline cooperation prospects.

The Corporation also conducted negotiations with VolgAero (Russia - France) and Snecma. The parties discussed the strategy of enhancement of VSMPO’s high-grade machining of die-forgings for Boeing.
