RCC subsidiary has received international certification

The Mikheevsky Mining and Processing Integrated Works (member of "Russian Copper Company" Group, RCC) confirmed its compliance with the international standards. As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the RCC Press Service, its Environmental Management System was certified for its compliance with ISO 14001:2004; the Occupational Health and Safety Management System – for its compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007.

The assessment was conducted by the SGS Group (Switzerland), a world leader in the sector of audit and certification services. Olga Martyanova, head of the SGS Group’s department in the Urals and Siberia, praised the level of the existing systems and pointed out the high-quality industrial practices at the Mikheevsky Mining and Processing Integrated Works.

The certification of Uralhydromed, Karabashmed and Aleksandrinsk Mining Company for compliance with ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 is scheduled for 2017.
