VSMPO has launched a 300-million-ruble compressor station

On October 6, the Verkhnyaya Salda-based factory of VSMPO-AVISMA put a new compressor station into operation.

As a result, the compressed air energy costs will be reduced by 35%, as RusBusinessNews has been informed by the Press Service of the corporation. The new station will also help to increase the reliability of the factory power system and to reduce the payback period for the investment totaling about 300 million rubles.

"Compressed air is one of the most costly resources: Its output cost is 7 times as high as the electrical actuator output cost," Mikhail Voevodin, General Director of VSMPO-AVISMA, pointed out.
