VSMPO-AVISMA earmarked the Titanium Valley as location for Figeac Aero

VSMPO-AVISMA intends to start titanium product processing joint ventures with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, Russia) and Figeac Aero (France). The facilities will be located in the Titanium Valley Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Middle Urals, where VSMPO – New Technologies is listed as an anchor resident.

As RusBusinessNews has been informed by Mikhail Voevodin, VSMPO-AVISMA General Director, economic components of both projects are being estimated at present.

VSMPO – New Technologies is finishing installation of utility systems and foundations for machine tools in its facility. Mikhail Voevodin pointed out that the production of the first batch was scheduled for the first quarter in 2018. The total investment in the project is about 1.7-1.8 billion rubles. By today, 700 million rubles have been disbursed; 200 million rubles will be disbursed by the end of the year. The remaining amount will be disbursed next year.
