VSMPO-AVISMA to invest 2.6 billion rubles in production

The world’s largest titanium and titanium alloy products manufacturer, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, PJSC develops and upgrades melting facilities. The strategic investment project implies replacing the previously world’s largest, but currently disassembled, Retech plasma furnace with a newer plasma-arc furnace from the same vendor.

 

As the corporation’s press service told RusBusinessNews, the new furnace will help increase the share of recycling to 60%, reduce remelting (and thus cut the prime costs), and boost sales of premium-grade rotary titanium products. The project scope amounts to 2.6 billion rubles.
