Ural Airlines wins the Wings of Russia award07.06.2021 — News

Ural Airlines has become the winner of the 24th national air transport award – Wings of Russia named after Evgeny Chibirev, in nomination "The Airline of the Year – Passenger Transportation, Group 1" (the annual traffic from 1 to 6 million passengers) as well as a diploma winner in nomination "Efficiency of Operation during the Crisis". The award ceremony took place in Moscow on May 31, 2021, as RusBusinessNews has been informed by the carrier’s Press Service.
"During the absence of passenger flights, we prepared a crisis response plan and promptly refocused our operations, turning to the cargo transportation market. The airline was among the first to adopt the federal program of evacuation flights, bringing back Russian people from foreign cities. Despite all the difficulties, Ural Airlines closed the year with the outcome of 5.6 million transported passengers and the fleet of 50 airliners: In 2020, the airline added one Airbus A321neo and three Airbus A321ceos to its fleet," Alexey Fomin, Deputy Director General for Quality, said.
