Ural Airlines’ fleet welcomes new Airbus A321neo22.11.2021 — News

Ural Airlines has received a new Airbus A321neo, which was delivered to Ekaterinburg from the Airbus’ assembly factory in Hamburg. The aircraft was given the registration number of VP-BFI.
As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the carrier’s Press Service, the airliner’s passenger cabin has a single-class layout and accommodates 236 ultra-thin economy class Dragon Fly seats equipped with USB ports for charging gadgets.
The low-noise and high-tech Airbus A321neo has new engines LEAP-1A32 from CFM International and special wingtips – sharklets. It boasts a longer-range capability and reduced fuel consumption.
At present, the airline’s fleet consists of 52 airliners, eight of them are representatives of the new generation neo (5 Airbus A321neos, 3 Airbus A320neos, 14 Airbus A321s, 25 Airbus A320s, and 5 Airbus A319s). Ural Airlines has received two Airbus A320s and two A321neos this year; another three A321neos are coming soon. By the end of the year, two aircraft will be returned to the lessors under the renewal program of the existing fleet.
Ural Airlines ranks among the leading Russian airlines by passenger traffic. During ten months in 2021, it provided services to 8,060,118 passengers (+97% against 2019) and performed 54,908 flights (+101% against 2019).
