SVERDLOVSK REGION
Based on the Airbus statistics, Ural Airlines has become the world leader in average daily flight hours on the Airbus A320neo family jetliners and has ranked third among the leading airlines in flight hours on A321neo jetliners. During the period from September 2020 to September 2021, the daily usage of an A320neo and an A321neo was 15.45 hours and 13.72 hours, respectively.
As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the airline’s Press Service, the flight planners make sure that jetliners perform mainly long-haul nonstop flights.
"The average flight hours per an aircraft is an important measurement in civil air transportation. The more an aircraft flies, the more money it can earn, increasing the operating efficiency of the carrier and reducing the cost per flying hour. We successfully operate the Airbus A320neo family aircraft for more than 15 hours a day and 500 hours a month. We do our best to keep this utilization level during an entire year," Sergei Skuratov, General Director of Ural Airlines, noted.
In 2021, the carrier added four Airbus A321neos to its fleet and is going to add another four jetliners in 2022.
