The manufacturing of VSMPO-AVISMA Titanium Corporation is being actively increased. Salary increases for production workers totaled 6–40% in March alone, and the next regular indexation is forthcoming. The highest rises are typically given to skilled turners, blacksmiths, crane operators, and metal surface defection inspectors. The corporation's management has allocated an additional 1.5 billion rubles for these initiatives in 2023. 

 

Salary increases were differentiated in March, with specific emphasis paid to staff of important production plants. These are machine operators, smelters, casters, blacksmiths, rollers, and cutters required at VSMPO's plant in Verkhnyaya Salda. As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the Press Office of the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, PJSC, pot operators, furnace operators and titanium sponge technicians are required at AVISMA (Berezniki, Perm Territory).

"Market expansion has been made possible through wage rises. Meticulous calculations were made for each profession, taking into account inflation, consumer price growth, staff turnover, and the objective state of the labor market," specified Olga Furtatova, head of VSMPO-AVISMA's HR department.

 

In 2022, the amount spent on social benefits exceeded 1 billion rubles. On January 1, food reimbursement was raised, and the thirteenth salary was paid at the end of 2022.

 

The corporation employees identify stability as one of its primary benefits. Medical insurance, health and relaxation, free physical and sports activities are all part of the VSMPO-AVISMA social package. For workers, there are sanatoriums and boarding houses, gyms, swimming pools, ski base, indoor ice rink, stadium, boxing and chess clubs and much more. Seven masters of sports and roughly 50 master candidates are among the company's employees and their families. There is even a world record holder among them: Sergey Selezen, a student in the corporate weightlifting section who has won five Russian championships and two world and European titles.

"Just the other day I received a pay slip with my salary already risen, additional 16,300 rubles a month. I aim to use this money to purchase a new car on a loan, which I would not have even dared to dream of. So it was a happy coincidence that I just brought my wife some new clothes – a smart jacket and a fashionable baseball cap – that we may buy for virtual money called "titans" at work. You must complete a number of tasks on the corporate page, such as taking a family portrait or passing another course in occupational safety training with excellent mark," explains Mitya, a turner by profession.

 

"The town is small, you can walk to the factory, everything you need is within walking distance, I only go by car to Ekaterinburg with my family at weekends," says Vladimir, a lathe turner. "There are a lot of sports grounds to choose from. The company has its own clinic, with far more specialists and medical equipment than in the Central city clinic. There are food benefits and financial assistance at childbirth, plus assistance in tough situations, and much more."

 

"This is one of the best enterprises in the Urals," Leonid believes. He moved to Verkhnyaya Salda from the Chelyabinsk Region two years ago. "The shops are clean and warm, and the personnel are treated with respect. The key benefits are stability and future confidence. Salary is paid on time, with no delays. We've got such a good team. You can and even need to live and work."
