Many Investment Projects Suspended in the Tyumen Oblast31.03.2009 — News THE TYUMEN OBLAST. There is every likelihood that the implementation of most significant and important investment projects in the Tyumen oblast will be continued, said Aleksandr Moor, the Deputy Governor of the region. In particular, the Uvatsky project ic carrying on and investments into the project are not decreasing. At the same time, Mr. Moor observed that the SIBUR company project for the construction of polypropylene production in Tobolsk has lost momentum due to the lack of investments. The initial plan was to attract international finance; now the Vnesheconombank credit facility is being negotiated and the Governor is managing the process personally. We have grounds to believe that the project fits the presently established standards and deserves to be financed by Vnesheconombank, Aleksandr Moor emphasised. He also informed RusBusinessNews that the Danon Company intends to establish a production facility in the Tyumen Oblast although project parameters are still being revised. IKEA does not abandon its plans either. At the same time A. Moor asserted that the majority of investment projects planned will nevertheless be suspended due to the decreased availability of financial resources. |
